I have now finished the work on this Lancer and pushed on through the Gold lace, there is a lot.
First time doing a Leopard skin, quite pleased how it turned out.

Congratulations, it's a beautiful sculpt expertly painted. The gold lacework is fantastic and I particularly love how you have painted the red. It is very lifelike.
Cheers,
Paul

Just lovely Bob! I like the variety in the gold finishes and the presentation is spot on. Regards Pete

Beautiful work, Bob!

Thank you all for the kind comments, I did enjoy painting this one, even though I found the gold a pain. I tried to go with different shades of gold as would have been the case in real life. I thought the uniform lace would have been a tad brighter then the horse furniture.
Thanks again
Regards
Bob

Hi Bob

Following on from the VBench https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/dutch-lancer-1-9th-scale.657010/

This has come out really nicely , bet all that goldwork was interesting to say the least ! ......like the variety you’ve achieved with it

As always the red again looks great

A fine result

Thanks for sharing

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Beautiful work Bob, the impact is stunning, I am going to have to try the Dark Star metallics and try to use them as well as you do. The leopard skin looks really good, so difficult to be random on a skin like that but you cracked it.

Cheers Simon

Nap, Mobo and Simon,
Wow, really chuffed with those comments, thank you all.
Give those darkstar metals ago Simon, they have a webpage and easy to navigate, explains also the new inks.
Nap,
the gold lace drove me to madness so it was done in shifts.
