That's looking great Paul, being brave with the contrast really pays off with flats.
Don't worry about threadjacking, I'm a fan. :D

Back atcha bud, (got sidetracked by the small matter of 4 x @in-up flats and some strated to be finished.

Done a two day hobby and collectors exhibition in Liverpool this last weekend, called 'toys for boys'.

A wide group of of local modellers teamed up to promote kit making, wheels, tracks,
wings and legs where all on the table.

i put a display up and did a daubing demonstration, so managed to get some done.
As usual the most often asked question was about flesh mixes and painting faces.

So I've given 267 people Del's mobile number and email address and said I was him....

I invited them all round for tea and cake on Tuesday. Please don't snitch

One lovely bloke said he used to paint..... but doesn't anymore, the went home and brought me back a historex kit.
Bless, how nice was that !
Hope you've had a good weekend
Hapee !

:ROFLMAO: Derek won't mind I'm sure.
Sounds like a well spent weekend. I've been really in the zone for painting but the wife has had other plans for the way for me to spend my weekend. I'm hoping to get some oil on these little fella's this evening though, watch this space, hopefully have some new pics later.

Cool It was a lot of fun.
This was year 6 so everyone knows each other,
Preserved historic and classic vehicles, R/C vehicles and boats, with pond, railways wargames tin plate and diecast, meccanno and lego dolls house, and modelling plus some traders.
The funniest thing was the shooting gallery set up next to the 'Liverpool "Lions'and one of them was named Eric.

I managed to get 2 dettol stripped 54mm foot del prado's repainted,
well happy with one, putting an'orse behind the other so not posting
that till the other end of the week.

I'd better get it all put away and have some tea.

I am impressed Paul, that looks good!

That sounds like I am surprised you can paint flats that well...... Sorry. It is however genuine admiration.

It didn't sound at all rude mate, buut what was funny was that you owned up, and that you didn't backspace and do it againHahaha.
Everyone has confidence issues at some point.

Roger spent a fair bit of time with me at sword and lance chatting with me about flats and teqhnique and it gave me a lot of re-assurance
Thanks for you comments, much appreciated .
Paul

Roger also spent a lot of online time taking me through painting a flat, we both had the same flat, he painted and posted pictures of each stage and I followed suit. His time was better spent with you it appears ;)

That was Amy?
I said at the time you did a good job mate and I still believe so.

If you knew how much time I've spent on this you'd understand the bags under my eyes better Graham.
I'm currently working on the basis that persistance overcomes the figures resistance and just gives in to my brush.
I am a castings bully. I have been known to swear at 'em like basil fawlty giving his car a thrashing.

Right I'm off to let roger get the credit for his figs.
Nighty night.

No, not Amy Paul. I cannot remember what it was but the thread should still be here somewhere. Not worth searching for though as I didn't do a very good job.

Noo, it was a traditional 'tin' figure drinking from a canteen holding his gun, butt to the floor. Foot soldier but I cannot remember the period. It was part of a set, I had about three of them. Sadly they fell foul of the clearance last year :(

Oh yes it was a Fredericus Rex 54mm SYW British infantryman, I did a Mil-Mart with Steve which is why I got confused.
