Thanks for the heads up on the tin flats, I have now got these winging their way from Germany via zinnfiguren-rieger.de French infantry in Egypt 1800

You're welcome Bob. A good choice, Karl-Werner Rieger is a good man to deal with. A word of warning, you'll either give them a go and decide you just can't get away with painting them which a lot of people do. I've got to admit it does take quite a bit of patience and practice, the other danger is you'll become hopelessly addicted and end up like me.

And a bit further. Anyone familiar with the flag of the Voltigeurs de la Garde imperiale knows this is going to be a bit of a nightmare to replicate in 30mm.

I think it's going to be a case of suggesting the detail rather than actually attempting it Bob. That's the plan anyway.
