Hi everybody

Couple of update pics, click on pics for larger image

......gorget and waistcoat complete, facings on lapels complete

Will recheck lacework etc once the actual red cost completed

Still to do Sash, lapel lace , collar , inside collar , buttons , aguilette , neckcloth, hair and fleshwork

As the uniform is now accurate and no relation to the film prop , will push the hair highs a bit more

As always comments very welcome

Happy benchtime

Hi folks

Bit of verbal updates , worked on facing colour last night , toned down the colour a bit , now working on the lapel lacework

Once that's done its the collar ..?need to suss out the colour of the collar lining

Then the Sash and a overall check of the lace , facings etc

Then it will be the black neck scarf

Then flesh , then hair

Once finished might do a gnome as a break from a uniform

Happy benchtine

Hi to all

Apologies Final verbal update ....hair and fleshwork all completed ...happy with result

Definately not like the uniform in the film but accurate to the regulations ...he now joins the line of "movie characters" in the display cabinet

I will put final pictures in Completed forum later

Thanks for all input

Next up is a gnome from MDP ...will set up the V bench soon

Happy bench-time

Nice one Kev, looking forward to the Gnome. A change is a good as a rest...

(Will the gnome have legs? Lol)

Further to Steves post , looking at Carl Franklins excellent book British Army Unifirms 1751-1783

Page 356 "Infantry officers were required to wear a gorget of gold or silver according to regimental metal"

The 34th's was silver so that's what the gorget will be

"Ribbons were normally the same colour as the facings" ....orange and with rosettes being same

The Aguilette on the model needs detailing up more so that's my next job !

Happy days

Nap

I'll need to remember this when I get around to my copy of this bust, thanks for the info.
