Thanks Mate,That's a big old base Daniel, I reckon you could get another 30 troops on there! Don't know if you have the same sort of stuff your side of the pond, I use Das Pronto air drying clay for most ground work. Basically it is a very fine papier mache and is great at creating the top layer of the ground work.
Nice touch with the different blues, I thought I saw a slight variation but just put that down to the arcane art of photography. It certainly adds interest to the figures even if it isn't readily visible to the casual observer it still does its job.
Cheers Simon
Thanks Nigel, I second your comment about the size and color , and then if you add the fact that cameras do their trick on not resembling 100% the true color.Very good research on the different fabrics. It's a pity these figures are only 40mm so the effect will be very hard to see but we all know it's there!
Thanks Malc,I'm looking forward to seeing the scene you are setting them in.

I can only admire the way you convert and paint these exquisite little figures. y own period of interest is 1700/1800 so they are right on the button for me.
Thanks Simon,Looks like rugged country, I can tell it's going to be good, your dioramas always are.
Cheers Simon
Oh yes things often change and we are powerless to stop it, usually they just grow out of all proportion!!Thanks Simon,
I have a vision of more less what i want it to look like...but that can always change haha
