Very nice Kev.
As you say not the best to photograph.
When the shoulder belt & metal work done it will help bring it all out a bit.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Mick

It looks much better in reality , getting the crossbelt will as you say bring it out better ...🤞🤞

Working on the plume now ...I’d forgot about it ! 🤭

Thanks for looking in

Best wishes

Kev

Hi Folks

Another verbal update on this ...lights rubbish here atm and the green and black doesn’t make it easy to get piccys!

Been working on the Rifle “almost a black” Green ...now happy 😃, the lacework has also been checked through , all the RED/SCARLET (just for Mick 🤣) facings look good

Pouchbelt and pouch all done ...just need to paint the hunting horn on pouch and the badges and dangly bits ....Ooooooeeerrrr Vicar !

The rank on the epaulettes need painting ......contemplating using Metallics for all the flashy badgy stuff

The cap is now 75% complete ...the material astrakhan looks a little shiny so might use a diluted satin varnish

Oh how I wish the headwear cords were green ......

Despite looking close at one of the references for the headwear which appears to show a officer with nothing on top of it

my plan is still to include the top fancy details !!

Couple of nice references ....notice the difference in the plume height ...both are junior officers

Nice plate here depicting the Commanding Officer and the Regimental Sergeant Major

Still to paint the black leather gloves and add the left hand with sword ....Oh and add the plume ...last thing

Thanks for looking in

Have fun whatever you paint

Just ENJOY

Good to hear there is progress going on. Hopefully we will see the finished piece at Yeovil.....?

Missed a couple of updates, must have been sleeping! Good luck with the hat braiding not a task I'd be too happy tackling.

Simon

You never sleep .....hope you had a good time In Belgium 🇧🇪...of course you did !

Currently to finishing the hanging chains on pouchbelt ...it’s getting there

Looking forward to finishing this piece off ...it’s been a interesting project ...I have a Vietnam pilot to work on waiting

......as for the hat braid .....stay tuned ....more when it’s sorted ...coming to a forum near you !

Thanks for looking in

Happy brushes
