Fantastic work on the face Bob,
But come on fes up how did that mole get there & where are the hairs on it?
Tunic look great as well.
Mick

Absolutely...tricky getting the left lens a bit thicker than the right one though.

Mike

Mick,
I can put my hand on my heart and say it was painted on purpose, with the helmet off the eyes were a doddle to paint but I thought to myself, you don't see figures with mole's etc, so maybe a first, as for the hair there is one very tiny one. (okay, thats a lie).
Glad you like the progress.

Mike,
see above, to paint the left eye, I turn the figure upside down, easy peasy.

Thanks for looking in again.

Bob

It's already been said ....great face ......on the resin of course

.....like the mole

Good start on the uniform ..what's your mix

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Thanks Nap,
the mix for the khaki is vallejo deck tan and yellow ochre for the base, highs are the base colour with more deck tan and the shade is flat earth.
Now onto the equipment not sure if to fit a short sling as I don't know wether the Skin's had rifle buckets on the saddle.

Hi Bob,
So in answer to your question Carbine buckets were used.

From uniformology
It was carried by Dragoon Guards and Dragoons on guard duty, both mounted and dismounted. The Snider carbine was the last carried on a swivel as the Martini was placed in a ‘bucket’ on the off-side of the saddle.

Hi Mick

Ref slings .....have you seen a picture of a field sling it a cord being used ?

Nap

Hi Kev
I know there were fixings for a sling But I was unable to find a pic with one fitted. eg below one print & one Photo. This does not mean they were not used.

I am going with no sling but will make a sight protector for the ladder sight.
Thanks for looking

Looks terrific Bob. I have three or four Brits in khaki, so I am collecting khaki recipes. That way they won't all look alike in the cabinet. So thanks for the khaki blend.
