All a bit beyond me , but stunning affects AKA air brush

I love the freedom of fantasy pieces....and I do enjoy all the effects etc. that you can use.
Much as I love using the airbrush...in this instance it was only used to lay in the base shades....what you see in the later pics is all brush work....simply because it's easier to control all the different effects.

Thanks for taking the time to comment (y)

Don´t know why I missed it here and everything is said before. So

Quick update....
Those of you that know me of old...won't be surprised at this!
I simply wasn't at all pleased with the head...so...a quick 'Dettol' bath...and three mist coats of primer later..........

Back to the drawing board :rolleyes:......

Having made the decision to start over on the head...it left me to decide how I would approach it this time around.
I settled on trying to replicate what would happen to real metal...i.e. rust and oxidisation underneath the paint...with areas of 'clean' metal around some of the damage....and across the surface in general.

First up...rust and oxidisation....

Yeah.....that's real comical...I just went for an eye exam last week and I do need a new pair, plus a cataract on the right eye starting. My right shoulder is shot and I finally realized I may never pitch again. But then I realized that I still have my miniatures to paint; and I still have a home and a nice back yard to cut the grass while I think about the piece I'm working on while I contemplate, which direction should I cut the grass and which pair of optivisors I should buy.

Wayne:arghh::ROFLMAO:o_O

My grandfather used to say that as we age it’s not how well we do things rather just that we do them..the pleasure is in the doing as much as any result. keep trying, and don’t look back..
