Hi Gents,

This is my current work in progress after completing the U-Boat captain ... this is another great sculpt, this one is by the legend, John Rosengrant.

Returning to my preferred theatre, the Eastern Front! White is one of my favourite shades to paint ... I get enough practice  however painting this much White has tested my skills and patience in this scale! it is still wet in places in the following shots and still being worked on, I wanted a really dirty looking parka, ground in and worn in the field for a good while, I still have plenty of weathering and mud splashes to add when it is finished. the straps and ammo belts are also currently being worked on, the face and helmet are finished only. Oilpaint throughout.

A few quick shots from the bench.

Thanks for your feedback and comments.

Beautiful work as always Carl. About the image size. I had a problem with this too. I use Windows photo viewer on my laptop for images. On that there is an open button on the top left. Click that then click the paint option. You should then see on the top left a resize option, select that and you will see horizontal and vertical with the size next to it (usually 100). Just overwrite those by half and press ok. You should see the image shrink down. Do this until you're happy with the size. Hope that helps mate.

Hi Gents, thankyou kindly for all your encouraging feedback : ) it's slow moving, as there's a lot to paint, I'm currently painting the separate ammo tins whilst the upper bodies various elements dry ...

Jazz thanks, I'll try that, I'm not to PC savvy, so don't have any hopes for me actually doing it! Lol .. Cheers

Can't really add much more to what's been said already, other than to agee with it all.
For me it's the helmet that stands out, fantastic detailed observation translated into paint. (y)
Cheers
