This is looking superb! I only met him once, at a dinner night at the HAC a few years back. A deeply scary individual, and this is truly doing him justice!
What colours did you use for the gold lace and the sword by the way? I've always been lazy and just used metallic paint but it doesn't really look right.

Coming late to this one but this is looking really nice. I thought at first you had the timeframe wrong in knocking him down to 6 medals but keeping the "enhanced" rank badge but I think it still works. Great work!

Very nearly there now continued working on sword , also redid the tunic and checked everything else ...happy where the main figure is ....
I know one thing ..it's been a challenge !

Thanks mate for my NMM I use 3 colours only for gold , in various mixes , all about deceiving the eye!
GW Snakebite Leather , any White and a Black with sometimes tiny amounts of Gold OchreGolden Brown ...avoid Yellows !
The sword are mixes of various Grays ,white and water soluable Oils Payne's Gray ( Cobra )
There are SBS on You Tube and if you search on PF sure there is something

PS sometimes wish I used metallics!
This is the sword knot at the moment ...lots more to do on it

Couple of update pics
Working on sword , the knot is all done as is the basket ..both look more metallic ! (Using NMM methods) ...working my way down the sword .
Once finished....today! It's ready to fit to the buckle I added on the belt piece ( not that it will be seen !!)
Today is the day Mr Mott is done if not then I am going to put that pace-stick.......

Well the sword is in place looks more metallic in realtime! ........am I happy ...better than nuptials with the SWMBO ...only joking Carole !
