Hi there all, just a small update - I have not been able to do any modeling work as I picked up a worrying eye condition about Ten days ago, I started getting coloured patterns in my vision, this worried me so much that I contacted the Emegency Services who advised an Emergency visit to an opticians. This I did and had a Full eye scan and they said it was a weird type of vision migraine but without the pain.
They think it was related to wearing the wrong strength glasses and too much laptop work, I have also been tested for new glasses that I will pick up next week, till then its reduced laptop and No model making.

Sounds weird, I've heard of migraine variants and they can be odd. Got to look after your eyes though, most important especially in our hobby and even more in your scale. Hope it gets sorted soonest mate.

Cheers Simon

Oh my word, I'm so sorry to hear that. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. It's time like these when we remember just how important our eyesight is to us. Take care.
All the best Melanie.

Thank you All for the very kind words, its a condition called Ocular Migraine and can come on at any time, its made me do some serious thinking about modelling at this scale with my new condition, and I think it might be best if I pass my build on to someone who could do it credit. I think I would be too scared to push my eyesight now.

Once your eyes are sorted there’s always the larger scales ......and busts ...lol

You’ll always be welcome here of course no matter what

Whoever takes over the Diorama do get them to share on this thread

Best wishes

I can certainly agree with your decision and think it is very sensible, I hope you do as Kev suggested with larger scales that aren't as hard on the eyes. It would be a crying shame to lose you from these pages, as it will your current work which has been very enjoyable watching it develop. Which ever way you choose mate it's got to be the right choice for you.

Hello there everyone, after giving things a lot of serious thought I have come to the conclusion that I will Never finish this build, so I have decided to see if I can sell it (lock stock and barrel) to anyone who would wish to continue with it.
I am sure it would give someone as much enjoyment as it gave me.

It has been exciting and always a pleasure to show you all my work.

W.

I'm sorry to hear about your condition, but I hope you get it resolved and can stick with the hobby. And maybe even return to this diorama in the future, too. But if you choose to hand it off to someone, it'll still be your work, and it will be great to see it finished one day.

Prost!
