Thanks for the comments everyone!

I have seen the file The Lighthorsemen. An excellent story of their charge against the Turks at Beersheba. I have a DVD copy that came from the far east and it looks like a pirated copy. I don't think it has been officially released.

Kreston,
Looks really good, brother! I imagine you'll have it on display in Atlanta. Now seriously, what was your mix for the light blue shirt?
As for it looking "too clean," we both know you'll eventually dump a lot of mud on it ;)

P,S - keep saving those ones!

Thanks! I will have this piece on display in Atlanta. The other pieces I am bringing have enough mud on them to make up for this guy! The blue shirt actually appears brighter in the photos than it is. My mix was Indigo+Warm Gray+Tit White. Simple really!

Gday all,
The DVD for the "Light Horsemen" can be purchased here in Australia. I pick one up a few weeks ago for about Aust $25.

Nice figure to by the way. Good to see more Aussie's out there.

Jason

There was mini-series called "ANZACS" years ago with Paul Hogan in it. I didn't watch all of it, but it looked pretty good.

I've seen ANZACS and it's pretty good. Don't expect a epic type film, but it was good none the less. There was even a WW1 tank in it as I recall, pretty neat.~Gary

I have Gallipoli but haven't seen ANZACS. I'll hunt around for it! There is an interesting British film called The Trench that tells the story of a squad of soldiers in the 24 hours preceeding their going 'over the top' on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Not an action picture but an excellent character study.

Amazon.com has copies of The Light horsemen & ANZACS. The review of "The trench" that was given rated it very poor.~Gary
