Hello everyone,
Someone will have already seen it on Facebook but I would like to share with you the figure that has been fascinating me lately: it is a mythical Airfix figurine, the first one I have built.
It is also my first major experiment with putties and I am really excited about it.
I thought I would give some details a bit of a makeover and so I changed the head to a hornet head, replaced the hands with warrior ones and detailed several details with putty.
I also changed the position of the left arm. The various straps were made with Verlinden sheet metal, Tamiya tape and insulating tape.
I am now waiting for the photoetched horseshoes because I lost the ones I had and had to reorder them.
Here are some photos, I hope you like them, I'm having a lot of fun.

I think I will replace the bracket belts.
Thanks

Beautiful work. You've really managed to animate it with a few alterations.

Just goes to show that there is life in the old Airfix figures.. Last year, Letchworth SMC completed a 32 piece chess set using almost all 54mm Collector Series. Interesting project for non-figure modellers but proved they were great figures for all levels of modeller :)

I saw that it was really rather good, more so that as you say they are predominantly vehicle and aircraft modellers. With the exception of some bloke called Rod! Hope to see you there again this year.
