Completed Critique British Para

Hi Everyone,

This is my second ever bust, so i am improving. I was given this as a gift and after watching a very nice documentary on the history channel about the British Paras in Afghanistan I was inspired.

Great painting job Ant. He looks suitably dusty. This bust was originally sculpted by Maurice Corry. I have a few of these kits in stock should anyone be interested in having a bash.

I'll agree with John, The weapon looks well done. I like camo as well. What did you paint it with? I like patches but not a fan of the Brit Flag on the vest? Is it sculpted that way?

Hey Mike,

Thanks! I added all the patches on the sleeves and on the vest. After quite a bit of research I found that almost 75% of pictures have the paras wearing a british flag on their vest. The rest wear a smaller union jack on their left sleeve above the insignia of the16 Air Assault Brigade- the flag didnt turn out exactly how I wanted - i may rework it.

The entire bust is painted with acrylics - I ama recent convert so I am still getting used to them.
