Quick update on the project: Tigers are done!

I made a base out of wood painted satin black with a spray can and am now starting on the groundwork.

Nice work Adrian. Tigers beautifully painted.

Personally I would go with the snowy groundwork it would contrast well with the animals.

Cheers Bill

Those cats are magnificent just like the real thing, you have portrayed the fight perfectly. Going to have a look at the site, if I buy some stuff files I might even use my 3D printer from two Christmas's ago for the first time!

Cheers Simon

Some of the best brushwork I have seen for quite a while. You have captured the vivacity of the moment spectacularly.I agree with Bill the "Banjer" that a snowy backgtound will offsrt the pair very effectively.

Thanks for your replies and likes!

I experimented with snow-covered grass...three different ways: From left to right:
- Acrylic gel + microballoons mixture
- Microballoons pure, fixed with hairspray, leaving high grass uncovered
- Microballoons, sprinkled all over (fixed with hairspray).

The middle one I liked most:

After sorting the snow, I realized the models represent Bengal tigers, and not Siberian ones!
So, the new-found model snow knowledge is shelved for another model...

Just attached long and short grass to the base with white glue. After drying I’ll go in with a range of tan colours.

I liked the middle snow treatment best as well. You may not be using it but I learned something:)

PHENOMENAL

I absolutely love this…….from the idea, to the beautiful painting, all the way to the excellent groundwork…..a genuine beauty.
