I have done a bit more in the last couple of days, base colour blocking in and the Dolman lacing basic colour. The Pelisse blue base colour is between the cross lacing ready to apply the basic lacing colour.

That's it for now.

Fabulous work, Geoff. The highlights you’ve picked out on the busby have brought it to life even more, & I like the idea of blocking in the areas of deep colour between the frogging loops & the deep shadows - ensures you won’t miss any areas when it comes to applying the main colour, & reduces the need for touchups when it comes to finishing off the frogging.

Good spot there, one I’ll remember if I paint a Hussar or any Napoleonic figure in general.

Hi Geoff

That busby looks good ...you like that Nulan ..lol

The flesh has settled down more as it is drying ..looking good

Nice blocking in as well on the pieces

Look forward to seeing more from you on this

Happy benchtime

Nap

PS ..going to need more table space at Yeovil for you ..lol

Thank you very much Chris, pleased to have given you that tip.

Many thanks Nap, yes I do like the Citadel shade washes and it saves wasting thinned paint as it is like coloured water straight from the jar.

A few more thinned colour to go on there now, but I must block colour the pelisse first.

Cheers
