That's coming along very nicely.
Looking forward to the development of the 'dragged though the hedge backwards' look.

Cheers,
Andrew

He looks so nice. Almost a shame to dirty him up.

Thanks to you all for the kind comments, updated pics below.
waiting for the oils to dry before getting him a little dirty.

I have yet to add some stubble to his chin and some black powder marks to his face, other than that he is nearly done.
Thanks for looking in.

Looking forward to these additions Bob.
Will enjoy seeing how you tackle this pleasurable task.

Bob
I know guys who airbrush stubble but I prefer the dot method.
I take a brush that's passed it's best and clip the end of the bristles off.
Then choose your colour, for me very dark blue or dark grey.
Now use a stipple action on the area you want to cover.
You can practice on a place of card 'till you are happy with the method.
I hope this helps Bob

Hi Bob

Looking good mate , if it was mine I woukd run a wash over the epaulettes/shako cords to bring the details out a bit more and then highlight again....

But you have done a rather spiffing job , like the little touches like the missing cuff button

Dirty him up ! ..interested in the dot technique you used

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a superb coment. The whites have been washed out by the light. The dotting did my head in to be honest, lots of shade colour and then slightly lighter for the next small dots. Perhaps next time I may do a jacket, I said maybe. I think I will have to make the missing button a trademark. Lol.
