Thanks for that!

I really enjoy and envy the variety of work that is present at your shows! The excellent mix of historicals and fantasy competing side by side is refreshing to see!!

cheers

Rob

Yes rob this is a big tendency in france. THis started one and a half year ago and fantasy figure are more and more present in our competitions. Mostly these painters are quite young (and many are extremely talented) and are also interrested in painting historical figures.
Many displays were showing both type of figures. We all think that this is a good point for the future of our hobby.

I have to agree with you Jean-Philippe, The future of our hobby is dependent on the new, younger painters, and to further see this hobby grow, or just maintain, is to seek out the younger painters.

So true, Jean-Philippe!

It seems the younger crowd in France have a great passion for all aspects of miniatures. I have been following Jeremie Bonamant's work for a while now, having found his website
Bragonart
And I see he did well at your show

He really seems to enjoy this hobby - seeing his show reports shows just how much the younger crowd revel in the whole creative side of it.

Found these pics of his stuff on CMON:
Latorre Viking
His UK Golden demon winner
A tiny Galadriel

There is hope!

Thanks, Jean-Philippe

I really love Allan's work (think he and Jeremie share some common pages); I have read many articles from him and Cyril (surname?) on Figurines.Fr yahoo site. Just waiting for something historical to be added to his gallery!!

Rob

(Cyril has a "nearly" website BTW; front page says its under construction, but the are images further in the directory "divers")

Can you give me the link to Cyril website ? He is really talented also, I saw his figures in flesh at Paris Montrouge competition and they were really impressive. He has a more "realistic" style than the other painters. An historical from him would be interesting also...
