:) This is good to know, Colin! Because are water based, I'm thinking that it might work mixed with Vallejo or any other metallic water based paints. This will increase the range of textures and metallic colours. Maybe is worth trying a small experiment, to see how it works. Just few thoughts...
Looking forward to see your little/big guy :) going through the painting process.
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Love the metals so much, I ran right out and bought the set... $5.99 at Curry's Art Supply :D Can't wait to give them a shot.

The OC

Eastern Colin:

Let me know what you think of them. The inks over the top are a critical step too. You can use oils, liquitex or other thinned acrylics too. Not sure thinned Vallejos will work though.

Western Colin

Damn... I was looking right at the Liquitex display (raw umber) and thought "I'll get them next time".... Duh :sour:
How 'bout Cidadel ink washes like Gryphonne Sepia or Delvan Mud?

The Scarberian Scragg

Green coat painted. Undercoated facings. The Brescia Company had Chamois facings so Vallejo medium flesh works as a base.

very nice, the only thing I can say is about the company commander brescia, you saying that he was appointed M. Martinengo.
The family Martinego was one of the most important noble family of Brescia, with a great military tradition that start in the Middle Ages.
It was a family of soldiers of fortune, the group Martinengo was famous before the 16th century, was in the pay of the Republic of Venice.
probably is one of the noble of the mainland intolerant of venice domain and at the arrival of Napoleon had joined the Cisalpine republic, and then fought for the emperator.

I read your post But I think si not the same person, Giovanni Martinengo si much important to became the comandant of Brescia Garde d'Honneur, I think M. Martinengo si an other member of the family, there was many part of the family
