I've never done anything with busts before and I'm curious about what scales they commonly come in. I've seen 200mm, 1/9 and 1/10. Are there any other scales used? Also, I'm thinking 200mm and 1/9 are roughly the same?

Any help will be most appreciated!

Hi James,
The most common scale of busts are 1/9 or 1/10, and like you mentionned 1/9 and 200 mm is the same. But I have seen little busts in 150mm what's 1/12, and the bigger ones like 300mm what's 1/6 scale. But the big brands like Pegaso and Andrea work in 1/9 and Young work in scale 1/10 if you look at there site. Hope this helps,
Eddy

Yep, 1/9th scale roughly equates with 200mm. You'll sometimes see busts listed as 250mm, which is approximately 1/7.

They're rare on the historical side of things but you can get large busts at 1/4 scale.

With busts especially a nominal size like 200mm makes even less sense than it does with a full figure; a scale is always the best way to go (y)

Ha ha, I saw the title, and I immediately remembered Frank Costanza telling George, "You have the A, you have the B, you have the D-that's the biggest."
