I'm not sure if I stretching my abilities but after painting a few 1/35 figures to go with my tanks I really started to like it.
Then I found this site and followed some advice on painting.
So I decided to try something that could be a huge disaster or the beginning of a new passion.
I'm asking your opinion about this "work"

I'm doing it with Vallejo acrylics and I stopped counting how many fine blending layers I already did on the face. I think it's quite well, but I'm a rookie, so what do I know? LOL

Hit me... (gently)

Thanks for you comments. I'm really liking this side of the hobby.

I've dedicated my afternoon to painting and it's progressing fast... but carefully

A small update

A small update.
Cap and goggles painted. The shading on the cap is not done yet. Still some shading left to do on the uniform.
Started to paint other details

The eyes are toned down a bit

Thx guys. You are very encouraging

I started to paint the little details and trying to enhance parts of the uniform.

I have reflectors on both sides and light is bouncing from the ceiling. That's why the skin tones have a tan look (which is not bad, it was North Africa after all :) )

Paulo

Hi Moraand

The uniform was not painted with Vallejo. I used Lifecolor Acrylics from the German Uniforms set n. 1. The colors are U406 (Tropical Tan 2) and U401 (Tropical Tan 1). I'm not sure if they can be bought separately or if they come only in sets of 6 colors. I got the two German uniforms set and I couldn't be happier.
I use the TT1 to highlight the TT2 for base color and for shadows I mix TT2 with a little Field Grey and a little Dark Brown (also from Lifecolor).
These paints are EXCELLENT and for me a close second to Vallejo. Airbrushed or brushed they produce excellent results all the time.

Thanks!!!!

Well, let me bougth the paint kit! look a very good reference, I have these Bust, Germans is not my preference, but these Bust is "Superb", DAK are my 6 work in the list to do!!, Look like a "Oil" paint face, I just works with oils in face to up 90 mm figures, and The "bright" and the Tones look like these! good work, keep show advances!!!

Antonio, looking good! Maybe it's just me, but the uniform looks as if it could use just a bit more in the way of shadow tones. Keep it up!

A bit more shadow and make the silver a bit less shiny. That's all I can comment except for the compliments of course. Very good !!
