Update on the shield, still not done (I guess).

It's always hard to tell when you're "done". Perhaps set it in context with the rest of the figure - without any magnification - and see how it fits. Overdoing it might make it look too pristine. I think it looks fantastic as it is.

Horse was basecoated with black, thats all.

Thanks! I am going simple on this, so far I only used mixes of AK black and Kimera Red. To do the highlights I will use Kimera Yellow.

The contrast between light and shade are pretty epic, it's going to really draw the eye in. I like the quilting on the inside as well.

I also have this model, and a dry-fitting confirmed the fit problems you mentioned - on the other hand, it's a great sculpt, and I "need" it for my collection of Italy 12th-13th Century.

Anyway, I will wait and watch your work before I start mine.

As yesterday was a rather windy and cooler, the temperature in my workroom finally dropped to 26-27 Celsius (we will surely get AC installed for the next summer lol) I was able to work on the caparison. Still not done but I now I can see the end. Definetly my most ambitious project so far...
