Hi JH

Very nice highs on the caparison, definately nearing the end , liking the strong shadows as well

Hope it cools down for you more ...it’s raining here ...no shock for UK

Thanks for the update

Looking forward to seeing more

Have fun @ the bench

Unfortunately next week is going to be an oven again but I have to get it done for the start of September as this is also an entry to me for Euroma...

Love the transitions on the caparison. I take it there will be no heraldry then? Beautiful job regardless.

Still thinking on it... Since this is not a historically accurate surcoat and caparison I am thinking on painting laurel leaves in some form to resemble with Dante's image even more.

I like that idea ........though the plain version itself is going to be great

Looking forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Yesterday I had a longer session, made progress on the horse and horse tack. Metal parts and hooves are still to be painted, then the assembly, reins and base to finish the whole project.

Well, as they say, s#*t happens. It really hit the fan this time... Tried to adjust the position during the gluing proccess, hind leg just snapped off. At least I know the glue I am using is indeed super and worth the money lol...3CFCB46C-0CDE-40AE-8C87-30507FFC4613.jpeg

Hi JH

You certainly made progress on the horse and tack

Not good ref the leg was the metal bending and needing straightning ? .....careful pinning should sort this along with more superglue

Take a deep breath !

Look forward to seeing more on this

Post Addition WELL DONE ...a fine recovery

Ah mate it's crushing when that sort of thing happens, not surprised there were tears and I like how you pulled a positive out of it all about the glue! He looks fantastic all mounted on the base, love it.

Cheers Simon
