A few minor touch ups needed on this one, and it will be finished.

200mm bust by Alexandros Miniatures, painted in oils, acrylics and printers inks.

Kurt, Excellent job on the bust of Davout! The Iron Marshall was quite a character. Love the way you pulled off the sash and the braid. (y) Facial features were exact. Really enjoy seeing your work! Thanks for sharing your work!:)

Thanks, Terry. That is most appreciated. These Alexandros busts can be quite habit forming.

How is your work on the Nuts Planet DAK bust going?

Thanks, Nap. I appreciate those kind words.

Well done Kurt. I love this series, but for some reason I've never warmed to this one. Probably the bald head. Wish they had made him wearing a bicorne. BTW, always thought Davout was the best of Napoleon's marshals.

Thank you very much. I understand what you’re saying - it’s the first bald figure/bust that I’ve painted too. I believe that a couple of the busts in this series would have benefited from the option of a bicorne or other headdress. That said, it’s a terrific series.

He looks amazing. As a beginner I really enjoy studying these well done figures to learn from. This one has so many different textures that it's a real visual pleasure. Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you very much, Albert. We are all working to get better at this, and studying others’ work has always been helpful to me too.

Very nice Job. I too am tired of every Davout model showing the bald head but that's what makes him immediately identifiable - either that or the glasses! Maybe Bicorne and glasses would be a good compromise.

Do like this range of busts from Alexandros and beautifully painted Kurt. Lovely braid and like the effect on the sash.
