Staring at me for many years from my unfinished projects cabinet was this bust from Celtic Models, long OOP, of a German Dragoner Officer 1914, rather similar in subject if not in quality, to the iconic figure Derek Hansen sculpted for Kirin. I finally decided to slap some paint on it! So here he is: a Leutnant of the Dragoner-Regiment Nr.5 in 1914. Thanks for looking!

Hi Pierre

I had this many moons ago ...can't find it now !!

Very nice painting there , I think the full figure and this was based on a painting

Like the uniform colour on this piece

Derek H ...sadly missed wonder who sculpted the bust ?

I think Celtic also released a Celt standard bearer bust as well ( with a boar on the pole ) ...I have one painted but would like to do it again !

Why not put something into FOTM as well ?

I am also trying to find this bust for a long time!!!!

Thanks Nap!
Both Derek's full figure for Kirin, which is still lingering in my grey army, and this bust are based on the work of Fortunino Matania "The strongest":

I wonder who sculpted the bust for Celtic Models?
cheers,
