Remember, Large Scale figures only mess with the mind, but are actually easier to paint because you will see your mistakes right away and correct them, hence the fact that you will improve rather rapidly vs. smaller scales, just my observation.

Cheers Bro, Ski.

Couldn't agree more Steve. Large scale figures expose every flaw and weakness in your painting technique for everyone to see.

Howdy Yall,

Hoping 2016 will be another great paint sniffin, finger gluin, New Year for everyone.

Here's the R75 Driver in progress. Slowly but surely he's coming along. Still plenty to do, but here's an update Gents.

Still need to figure out the insignia on the helmets. Soon it will be time to knock out the punch list on all the figures and start basic weathering on the bikes, then that mighty base. Oh boy, what ever did I get myself into???

Cheers, Ski.

Jeff, thx Buddy, the encouragement is greatly appreciated!

Stevo, you too Bro, great fig, to say the least. Let's make 2016 a serious figure year, hint, hint........................

Cheers, Ski.

Howdy Yall,
I've been busy making my first attempt at chipping on the R75 sidecar, very tedious work. I'll take my lickins and improve on the Harley, but I'm pretty sure I can tone down some of these over zealous attempts at making it look real. Needless to say, I'm not completely ecstatic about the outcome, but yall feel free to comment. Please don't pull any punches. I'm not afraid to go back and do it again or tone it down if I have to. I've redone many things in the past, I'm still learning to be patient, lol.

At any rate, see what yall think, I'm all ears, and thx for watchin.

Cheers, Ski.

Hi Ski.....very nice work mate (y)....just a suggestion...colour scheme would indicate a European theatre....as opposed to African (desert)....so I think a little rust would be in order ;)

Cheers

Ron

Hiya Ron,

Most definitely gonna be a bit rusty. I have Mig's videos to follow and Mike Rinaldi's Tank Art books on the easel. I just gotta be patient and keep the steps in order. It's the fun part of doing rigs, but that chipping was getting really old fast, which is why I had to back off and take a breather, lol.

Thx for watchin. Cheers, Ski.
