Very nice work Roger, leather boots looks excellent! Great work so far, and almost done.

Cheers Borek

P.S. I'm sure the nasal bar on the helmet will be right. Anyway, I keep my thumbs on your sculpting trip ;).

Thanks Borek.
It only needs a piece of plastic, card or etched brass to make a replacement, no need to dabble in the dark art of sculpting.

Lovely painting Roger.
As for the helicopter part and nasal guard it went to the carpet monster for his dinner. An even if you haven't got a carpet it's the frickin invisible carpet monster.

Thank you Ralph.
I'm beginning to suspect the dog.

There you go, buff coat .
Now, they parliament forces were referred as Lobsterheads because of the helmets, rigjt?, pardon my ignorance, not very familiar with this era.

Daniel, I'm no great expert myself but as far as I am aware the Lobster tailed pott was common to both sides, in fact to most European armies in the 17th century.
I think tv and Hollywood and are to blame for the misconception that the Parliamentarian army were all equipped with them and the Royalist all wore floppy feathered hats.
Parliament troops were known as Roundheads as some Puritans wore their hair closely cropped.
Fish heads on the other hand is what those Royal Air Force wannabe's in the Fleet Air Arm call the proper sailors. :D
