Nice work here Dom. I have to admit though, it feels from these pics that the highlight and shadow on the coat are a bit "forced" to me. Although technically executed correctly for "overhead" lighting, the shadows and highlights look a tad too contrasty for me and could stand with some more blending maybe. Over all I think your definitely headed in the right direction!

very nice work.
Maybe you can give the coat a wash. The shade's are to hard in my opinion. With a wash you blend the colors and it looks not so hard after that.

Hi Dom!

I agree with previous posters. Its all in the right places but not so much contrast in certain places and some softer transissions in others.

With this figures I would have tried a filter or two to soften it. But perhaps on your next figure you will have different tones in shading and highlight. There sure is potential in your painting, dont let our remarks take that away.

thanks a lot for your reply and critism guys that i hope help me to progress

It right that i perhaps make too much contrast on this figure
but it was one of my objective because in my last figure i didnt make not enought contrast .... i will try to find a middle way for next time and perhaps try to make a filter on the coat like you say me but in the right scale the figure in 54mm seemed to be a little less contrast than in the pictures

thanks again

Dom

Also, only you can judge how true the picture is to your piece in real life. Pictures often alters a lot. Especially when you enlarge them like that. Simply because you see everything that you dont usually see with the naked eye.

Im glad you too our critism the right way. Im always a little bit worried because most of all I do want to encourage people, and sometimes they take it the wrong way.

Looking forward for your next post.

no problem for critism like that Janne, i thank you for time you take to respond to my post !
I will try to make new picture in interior before making filters to down contrast and i hope you will give me more feedback
that help me to find the good balance between contrast, light and shade for my next figure
Best regards
Dom
