That's why I use a dry box with a 60 W bulb. I can fit ALOT of stuff in there :)

I tried the 100 W when I first built the box. But, the outside wood was getting hot and I did not want to burn down my house... :eek:
With the 60W a thin oil application is pretty dry in 1-3 days. Works for me, anyway :)

Hey guys, finally got a chance to post some pictures of the finished face, still needs extreeme shadows and highlights.
Gave the hat an acrylic undercoat, hopefully this weekend I'll be able to finish it in oils.

Flesh:
Base= Liquitex parchment+raw sienna+Venition red and a touch of Prussion blue to cool down the mix.
Medium shadows= Base+Brown Madder Allizarin.
Deep shadows= Brown Madder Allizarin + Burnt umber.
Extreme shadows Sepia.
Medium highlights= Base + titanium white + Naples yellow.
High highlights = Titanium white + Naples yellow.
Extreme highlights= Flake white.

Face looks great Roc. I have been experimenting with my oil flesh base. I used some purple madder to cool off the Mars Orange. Normally, I have an aversion to Prussian Blue, but I may try that myself ;)

That whas worth the waiting. But it is not finished. I had to wait until he is riding the horse.
But you did a tremendous beautifull awesome paintjob.

I hope we see him finished soon.
