Hey guys,the horse is almost finished, but still a little more work to be done.
Still needs extreme highlights and shadows.

Silver lace
Base= Liquitex silver oil paint + a touch of Prussian blue + lamp black.
Medium shadow= base + lamp black.
Deep shadows= Medium shadows+ more lamp black
Medium highlight= base + more silver liquitex oil.
high highlights= silver Liquitex oil, straight out of the tube.
Extreme highlights= Flake white.

As far as being busy, I can understand that, it's taken me for ever to finish this SBS,I just hope I can do a decent job on this masterfully sculpted figure.

I started painting the flag, still needs more highlights and shadows.
Please forgive the poor quality of the photos.

Fleur de lis:

Base =yellow Ochre
Shadow= yellow Ochre+ Burnt Umber.
medium highlight= Cadmium yellow + white
High highlight= medium highlight + more white.

Again some quistions. Yesterday evening i bought a knight with a flag. The flag seems to be a little to thick. If it was the case with the flag that you painted did you sanded him down, or did you make a new one ?? BTW was there a flagpole, and if not what did you use ??

Hi Marc, lucky for me the Fleur de lis were raised making my job much easier,all I had to do was paint them.
The sculptor did a great job with the flag, the thickness is just right and the flag pole was supplied with the kit.

If the flag supplied with your knight is too thick, I would not recomend sanding it down, it would be me much easier making one out of sheet led .

Will you be doing a SBS on the knight?
