Hi Nigel,That looks really good Malc. Could you explain how you used the inks - did you dilute them (eg with glaze medium) or use them straight from the bottle?
Thanks Bob, I'd recommend giving the inks a try.Caught up again and glad I did, excellent work on the braid and the use of the inks, think I may try that.
Thanks for your feedback, very much appreciated.First, I really appreciate your SBS documentation on this project. Second I respect your experimentation regarding using the inks. I’ve taken many of Jim Rices’ seminar in which he extols the virtues of using them, and have seen how they can really enhance the depth of a model. Thirdly, I haven’t seen very many “larger scale” painters use the Army Painter triad of washes/inks, but can see the benefits of doing so. I recently returned from the Las Vegas Open (LVO) and saw firsthand how the fantasy genré painters use inks and washes to their advantage.
