Hi Colin

Liking the new eyes ..it’s always a question when to paint them!

You’ve used the early morning time well , face looks really good

Looking forward to seeing the plastron and of course the embroidery

ENJOY

Happy brushes

Hi Colin,
That's some fancy detail to paint on that one, I look forward to watching this one develop. All that gold braid would scare the paint off my brush for sure.
cheers
Richie
Luckily I love painting gold embroidery and medals 😂 I think of you painting all that Denison. Give me gold oak leaf any day.

Very nice work Colin.
This is very timely for me as I've just started assembling this bust.
Now I've got your excellent W.I.P. to follow.

Cheers,
Andrew

You’ll enjoy it Andrew. I had to do some filling on mine when I assembled it. Hope you have better luck. 🙂

Thanks Nap. Got his awards from Six’ Dictionaire Biografique and Wiki and then pics via google search and old Osenat auction catalogues.

The coat is supposed to be velvet. I am researching how to render velvet in my spare time.

I got mine from Alexandre direct. I usually buy from Historex Agents but couldn’t wait as this was part of a Christmas gift from Mrs and her sister. They wanted the order in before Dec. 25. I also got Marmont and Rommel. Great gift.
