Started to move into the painting stage of the first of two French line lancers for this project, struggling finding time with heavy work rosters and homelife to get to the workbench, anyway, this is where im upto at present.

This lancer is from the range of busts produced by Graham Scollick at CGS Military Figures and sculpted by Carl Reid.

Glad your back at the bench Brian and this figure looks superb. If you don't mind me asking but what green are you using, perfect for the faded look.
Following with a great deal of interest.

Thank you bob,I use oils in all my finishing and for the green I used mixes of Windsor green,Windsor yellow for the mid tones and lights, and blue black added for the shades.
After about 12hrs drying,I mix in some earth shades to give the green a worn faded look, but I do this very sparingly as I don't want to lose the green look.

Which earth tones go well with the green Brian?
