Keith,

Don't think I ever saw a picture of the finished product from this project. Would love to see it.

Pete
.
Sorry Pete I should kept you in the picture.
I asked Andy Cairns for an SA80 and He sent it to me free of charge.
Saddly it never arrived an I did not have the cheek to ask him to cast another.
Hence I am in limbo at the moment.

Keith,

Thanks for the update. Hope you solve the problem. Would love to see this one finished.

Pete
Sorry Keith Reedees are 1:9, I'm sure wee friends do one though, I've bought one myself.
All the best.

Thanks for your continued interest and help on this one Gents, it really drives me to get something finished for a change. I value your input.

Sorry for the time it is taking to reply we are driving around following the Vuelta Espania and the Pyrenees are not the best for wifi.

Hi Keith,

Looking good. Just a couple of minor points if I may. I think the coat of arms should be a bit bigger and he should be wearing gloves (unless this is pre-parade and he's still at Wellington Barracks).

Pete

Hi Pete
Good to hear from you Mate.
I freehand painted the the R S M badge. So a red paint over in a slightly darker tone would look more realistic.
For the gloves, I have him at stud F. So the gloves are on by 250 yards. I spent ages doing his nails
Thanks for your help yet again Pete
Ali the best

Hi Keith

Oooohhhh he looks a big lad .....agree about the rank badge looks a little small ..sure you have lots of pictures of this drill square legend

What scale is he ?

Looking forward to seeing more

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Thanks looking in Kev.
The truth is I shelved it for ages when I could not get an SA80 rifle in this scale for the second Guardsman.
He is a lightweight conversion on a Verlinden 120mm figure. No sweat in reworking the arm badge with a paint over.
Cheers
Keith

Keith
I have missed this one so started to catch up, late on parade as usual. show parade later.
Superb work on the old kit, lovely painting too.

Many thanks Bob.
No worries about late on the square this has been off and back on a good number of times.
Thank you for your kind comments Mate I really appreciate them.
