Thanks Gary...
Think you are right...I don't want the wood grain to be too over bearing, so I'll blend it in a bit more...
No worries my friend, your sage council is always welcome!
All the best

Patrick

Thanks Anders...
Was sorta worried that it was too dominate. I have blended it a little more.
Hope all is well...

Patrick

Hey Patrick!

Maybe it was a little prodominent, but it is some awesome wood grain paint work though. I never could do it, even though got a hands on demo by John Long. Sigh! Looking forward to see what it turned out like after more blending!

John,
You are too kind my friend!
I gave him a dusting of a dullcoat last night, and deepened the shading on the white a lil more. I am trying real hard with these whites, and I have to tell you, of all the colors I have done, this one John is a heartbreaker! :( I have to remember not to over do it and know when to stop...so I'll touch up the highlights today (I am on leave for the rest of the week!) and stop there...I'll post a new picture later today. The base work is next.
Hope all is well brother! ;)

Patrick

Thanks Frank, that means a lot... ;)
Encouragement like yours and others helps big time...
I'll post some updated in progress tomorrow...
Hope all is well...
Thanks again; all the best

Patrick

Guys,
Sorry for not posting this picture sooner...Will have the basework done this weekend and then apply a final dullcoat dusting and then the highlights for the metals...
Your thoughts?
