Steve, Nigel & Melanie, thank you all for your interest, slower progress this week with half term but it won't stop altogether, I hope! The history of the Indian Army and British involvement in India is fascinating, I would recommend Max Hastings book, I can't put my hands on it just now but I'm sure it's called "Sahib".

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon

Glad the beard is suitably manicured now

Out of interest ...a nice book to get hold of

Penance done the little terror is at her other grandparents tomorrow, mind you just as I thought I was safe those two dreadful word popped up "Inset Day", I have her back on Monday!

Still managed some putty pushing, I made the first alteration of his right arm. I say alteration because I can already see it needs some extra work around the creases and I have already lengthened the forearm sleeve a little.

I also had a good look at the trousers and as per Kevin's post a page back I added more volume, still need to add the trouser piping though.

And while I was at it I made the turban a little larger, from photo's they could be really rather large and no where near as neat as illustrations suggest. Still got a couple of areas on it that need tweaking.

So here he is as of today.

You won't. :)(y)

I like your faith in me but I have an ever growing clumsy streak. The left arm has been done along with the last bit of the turban and the piping round the collar and down the front panel of the tunic.

Upon final inspection I had a thumb print in the left arm putty! Sorted but really not happy with my clumsiness.

Neil, Brad thank you gents he is getting there slowly but surely. I have caused myself a bit of an issue, when I cut the wire for his arms I didn't leave much to attach the hands to, I would say live and learn but this is far from the first time I have done this!

Cheers Simon

Looks fine, and this is still early doors. There is plenty of time to iron the metaphorical creases out.
Araldite will sort the hands, if superglue isn't enough.
That last one of mine is held together with a mixture of glue and prayer.

This is looking pretty darned good to me so far....

Upon final inspection I had a thumb print in the left arm putty!
Like all great artists you are leaving subtle traces for future generations to find......or maybe not!:)
