Regarding Clan MacGregor at Culloden, I don't know, but it is an interestng question! I just googled quickly and right away came up with an interesting site:

And regarding the use of the term Scotchman, this is also interesting; in the old days, that term was always used, but now they prefer Scotsman, and add, "Scots is what we are and SCOTCH is what we drink!".
As I told Stephen, I am pretty new to painting figures, just having completed my third in time for the L.I. Show tomorrow. But, highlanders are in my near future!
