It's been quite a while since anyone...me included posted anything here.

Then....today on Scial media a very nice young man posted his photo of this, in my opinion wonderful memorial.

Sited outside Charlerois Rail Station is the monument to the French troops as follows....
'Aux armées françaises
qui ont franchi la Sambre. Elles montaient combattre pour la liberté
JEMAPPES 1792
FLEURUS 1794

LIGNY 1815
WATERLOO 1815

LOUVAIN 1831
ANVERS 1832
CHARLEROI 1914
GEMBLOUX 1940

Such a simple symbol that says so much.

Hope you like it, and anyone's memorial or monument is always welcome.
Huge thanks to Lo James of Tampa for pointing me in this direction.

Paul.

You guys.......What's with these biscuits....fill me in........what do they taste like..are they like a friggin donut.?...
I give my dog biscuits.............Are they the same?

Wayne:)

BISCUITS Wayne?
Aaaaah Biscuits...mmmmmmmmm.

Where to start.....
Crisper then a cookie, like Oreos but with taste.
They can be infused with Ginger to make them snap,
Or malted to appeal to the milk shake fan,

Thick oatmeal patties to take creamy butter and cheese,

Full of heavenly butter, cocoacream or buttercream,

Sprinkled with sparkling crunchy sugar,

Impregnated with chocolate pieces, raisins or the moistest fig.

Totally smothered in real milky chocolate or part dipped,

Coffee and tea are too wet without them,
Biscuits are too dry without a brew.

That's all you need to know really.

It doesn't help knowing you cannot have them does it.

Paul.

You've set me off now! Where's the digestives?

Well I do tell a lie Paul, as long as they're not made on anything that's sugar or processed carbs I'll have one...
or Maybe two? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

My advice is ask at the staff at the counter.
I just did it at the bakery.
"Which Meat and Potato pie and which fresh cream apple turnover are the low calorie ones please?".

They found one of each for me !
(They were the ones on the left.....might do it differently
round your way though mate).

Paul.

In your rat pack buddy..........
It all started for me with oatmeal block !
Paul.

I still like an oatmeal bloke when I can get them (don't read the age on the packet) I even enjoyed the a.b. biscuits when I wasn't in a hurry to chew! :)
p.s, when you break open a hay bale it breaks into "biscuits". So be carefull what you ask for in the stables! :)

Gee, surely your not one of those annoying customers Paul? ;)

Happy to say I'm not a sugar addict anymore, don't crave it or miss it. We buy all the ingredients and make it at home. Xyelotol is a great replacement for sugar if you need the sweet hit. I decided to forgo all the biscuits, bread, pasta, rice and spuds.
Now I only have meat like steak, pork, lamb, bacon, cured meats and seafood. And it gets worse, eggs, butter, cream, greek yoghurt, cream cheese. Bloody bone broth with heaps of salt and a few veggies and berries to break things up, bloody boring! ;)

Chris.
