Hi Kev - the kids have landed armed with 6 bottles of Old Speckled Hen....oh, and some photos! The dimensions of the box are 7" length, 5 1/4" width and 4" deep, approx. made from brown cardboard, with holes for the string!

Hope these are OK, (y)

Hi Guys ,

Thanks for the references , myself and Jimbo are thinking again about the pieces but we both reckon the poor lad needs a good rest from putty pushing so it will allow him a chance to restock the biccy barrel ...

But fear not...I will update when I came

Stay tuned

Hi Kev.
I hope you dont mind But a couple of points. The Collar Number would have only been thre numerals ie, 493. and the same number would appear on the helmet plate with the Divisional letter ie E would be above the middle numeral. I would keep it safe with either A or E as something i9n the back of my mind is saying that there is No B div as the nick got bombed.? will stand corrected.
I have to say the face is cracking

Hi all
Just to put the record straight, the helmet & badge is mine but I did not sculpt the face, it's a Carl Reid piece, spare Steve McQueen head, this bust will not be used or sold commercially, it's just for Kev to paint, drool & drop biscuit crumbs over lol:LOL:;)

Mick
Thanks for your very useful input but regarding the numbers on the collar, I was going by the photo posted earlier in this thread, the numbers being 178 with a C after the 8, I've sculpted on the collar of the bust as 151C......so I'm a little confused regarding the division letter "C" was on the collar or not?
Cheers
Jim(y)

Well the historical details, although valuable, are a bit too British for me to follow.Judging as an amateur sculptor I must say that this is a very detailed and accurate sculpt.Would love to see this finished.

Oda.
