I agree, looks true to life.

How long does it take you from bare surface to finished for a sculpt/ head that size?

Airbrush as well as brush work?

May add this to my reference folder, there is a lot of good work there, one can see.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

Amazing work ,I never seen a work with such a perfect resemblance.
The sculpt and paint as perfect.
Regards Jose Luis

Thank you. This was sculpted by Andy Bergoltz, and painted by me. It is done entirely by brush in Liquitex acrylics and pastels. It took me roughly 3 hours to finish. Please feel free to add it to your reference folder.

I don't know the show at all, so I can't speak to likeness, but I can say it is definitely an absolutely fantastic piece of sculpting and painting!

I've seen some good realistic painting on 1/1 scale busts before, but to get a likeness at this scale is incredible. To do it in 3 hours is beyond belief. I just shake my head in awe.

Thank you everyone. I used Liquitex acrylics and pastels. I then sealed it with Testors Dullcote.

What a fab sculpt, the likeness is not quite perfect but it's damned fine work. And super paintwork!

This Andrew Bergholtz?

Do you have any photos of the sculpt prior to painting John?

Was this an exercise in speed painting or that's just how fast you always paint?

Could we have more detail than just the medium please? I'm sure everyone would love to know at least some of the method, colour mixes, any other tips!
