This year I'll be in Stresa and Euro.
But I will try to attend next year.
After all the positive stories I hear about previous shows.

Reason # 8

Rumours, smoke and mirrors…….nope, none of them at FigureWorld, but to let you know just how much is going on at the show, the trader list looks like this….in alphabetical order so we’re showing no preferences :-

So not only is the Great Hall full as usual, but also there’s a couple of traders in the refreshments room.

Just as a reminder about the demonstrations too – Conrad Mynett will be painting miniatures with his usual flair and lots of acrylics, and Steve from Barwell Body Works will be showing his expertise with airbrushes. Not only that, the speed-painting will showcase just how little – or how much – of a model can get painted in a very frenzied ( or calm ) half an hour.

So, traders galore, various demonstrations and possibly some sillyness, not to mention cups of tea and coffee – what more could you want…….OK then lots of painted models on show, plus perhaps some part built projects that you get to see before they’re finished – because they’re allowed on the displays too y’know

All this packed in to Reason #8 for why you should be at FigureWorld 2014 rather than anywhere else……..You know you’re worth it.

Reason # 9​

More……You want more !

To step away from the many modelling reasons for coming to FigureWorld 2014, there is of course the market town of Oundle itself.

It may be relatively small in comparison to many large towns and cities around the country, but it is perfectly formed. There’s a couple of good coffee shops and this year we’ve got warning that the food market ( that we had no idea about last year ) is on again.

The food market was a hit with a lot of the show attendees – loads of interesting provender to choose from and reasonable prices too.

If you haven’t had chance to visit the show or simply haven’t had chance to walk around Oundle when at FigureWorld before, the town is very pleasant to walk round with lots of interesting architecture to see – think of the ideas for buildings on your vignettes, dioramas or just as backgrounds……….see, more of those ideas forming !

I could say I've lived a pure life, but no one would believe that one

For one mad second, I thought of going in for the speed painting LOL , but lets face it, in that time I couldn't even get some primer on let alone any paint, so scratch one daft idea

Reason #10​

But back to the show !!!!

The Photos.

Reason #7 told you about Oundle, it’s food market and the architecture of it’s buildings. However, there’s other reasons for being inside the show itself.

We take photos of the models, the room and the people in it. And afterwards we show them on Facebook and around the web, not to mention sending out a couple of articles to the modelling media.

If your model’s on the displays then it may just appear in one of these, or alternatively there might be a picture of the model that particularly inspired you during the show itself.

For those of you not attending – really, you’re not going; shame on you ! Well over the months there will be a steady release of pictures taken at the show………really, you can wait that long !

Yet another reason for attending – Number 10, the photos – you might be in them, your models might be in them, but best of all, you won’t have to wait to see them, because you’ll already have been there……..But the memories that the photos bring back……….
