Hi all,

First of all, I want to say I was really glad to met some of the people around here, in person. Real intercourse is, decidedly, an advantage over virtual... (specially when you meet with some beer glasses at hand - after 12 a.m., of course!)

Regarding the shirt issue, well, I had to make a serious bet - I anticipated opposition would be quite hard! So, I reserved the "Australian Beer Tree" model for Sunday. BTW, besides its obvious elegance qualities (which people with good taste have already noticed and remarked), such a shirt proves really useful when you get lost in the crowded EuroMilitaire areas - your friends can locate you easily!!!

Best regards,

Dani

Hi,
As you probably noticed in the photo, I didn't go for the
loud shirt thing. Favouring instead that universal uniform, of black shirt
and jeans. All credit to those who brightened our day and lit up the
entire show

This year will be all the more memorable for having met up with
some of the people from this great site

Gino, sorry I never got a chance to speak although I did see that distinctive
hair style disappearing into the melee in which we call the competition room

All being well we can do it again next year.

I didn't see any of the MedRom people from where I was at Euro BUT I did meet the most prominent of 'em all: Dr. Mike Thomas, expert on Romans and a quite competent shirt-wearer.;)

Put on your sun-shields and anti-glare devices and enjoy! :)

This is modelling at it's best. This diorama has everything a diorama should. There's not a shred of dead space. It tells a clear story and every element has a part in that story. It also has those surprise details that viewers find after closer looks. I'm told that the figures and AFV's are of high enough quality to stand on their own at Euro and still be highly awarded. An excellent piece of work and well deserved BOS. It appears from the other pictures that as good as this piece is it probably wasn't a slam-dunk as BOS. Doug Lee's diorama of the escaped zoo animals has all of the same elements mentioned earlier.
