Hi ,

Not sure if these a re of any help , it's a diagrammatic picture of the pouches with dimensions ( if you can see them!)... From the 1911 regulations .

Also a couple of pics of pouches really like this as I said .

Hi Guys,

The picture if from the book here , it states it's taken from the "Dress Regulations for the k.k Landwehr, Vienna 1911"

Looking at the picture under my optivisor these are the details I can see

Height at the front 86-88 cm
Width 66-70 cm
Depth 40-42 cm outer edge
Depth 36-38 cm inner edge

I haven't got a copy of the regs unfortunately.

Hi Nap, thanks for finding those measurements.

Estimating leather thickness @4mm, and combining with cartridge measurement, results are very close to what you have provided:
-height = 84mm
-width (at base of cartridge 12.5mm x5 +8mm for leather thickness) = 70.5mm
-depth (at base of cartridge 12.5mm x2 +8mm for leather thickness) = 33mm

Note, did not calculate any free space inside pouches, so when considering this, results arrive even closer to Nap's values.

One more thing to consider, I'm looking for some more details that are not too big and will not change the volume much, but will make bust more interesting to paint, so cap badge came into picture ;)
Yes there are tons of pics of the badges but I do not have the knowledge to put them into historical perspective.
The two things that are "bust facts":

It represents Kolpral of Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment Nr.4
It is year 1915

What badges could be appropriate and possible ???

And yes, thank you all once again for the help, past and future ;)

If my reading of the available research is correct K.K. Landwehr-Infanterieregiment Klagenfurt Nr.4 was based in the northern front sector. It's larger formations were: 50 Brigade, 25 Division , II Corps, 4th Armee. -----> http://www.austro-hungarian-army.co.uk/oobgalic.htm

So armed with that information, and going to this site: http://kappenabzeichen.webnode.cz/katalog/

Here are possible badges, clicking each image will send you to the web page for some detail and size info:

generic(?) K.k. Landwehr badge

IR 4

25th I.Div.

4.Armee

Commander-in-Chief

There is a page devoted to the Russian front, but that would require more research on IR 4 to determine which cap badges would qualify:

That looks way cool. (y)

Hopefully the 3D printer won't blow up trying to print all this fine detail.

Hi Pokrad,

Of course you will finish it my friend ....

How about these medals ..the first is for bravery , the 2nd being the wound medal ( each stripe being a wound )
