Here is my version of Life Miniatures German bust carrying the MG-42 tripod. I choose to paint the Kharkov parka in more of a brown/tan color for a bit of variety. The Andrea Miniatures brown paint set was used for the parka. The brown paint set has showed to be very useful as it contains some great color choices.

The rest was painted with Vallejo and Reaper acrylics, with the exception of the rifle stock which was painted with oils.

It was fun bust to paint, but the face was very hard to paint to a satisfactory result. I am not sure exactly why, as the sculpt is really nice. The eyes are not symmetrically sculpted which made it hard to paint them evenly, the figures left eye is much more open then the right side. All in all though I am pleased with the results and it was a lot of fun.

Hey Anders,

...welcome back!!

AWESOME paint job. I really like the weathering/paint chipping effect on the Helmet, binoculars and MG stand. Are you coming up to MFCA in 2 weeks? Make sure you stop by the table and say hello.

Excellent painting Anders.Very convincing skintones and weathering. I understand what you mean about the eyes, he got a little crazy look,

Best regards Lars

With respect to the author. Should be reflected in the way the publication of photos. Several members photos not see. And I think that such a contribution, despite the quality loses its meaning.
Sorry. It does not, neither Google nor Explorer

Gentlemen,

First off thank you all for taking the time to comment! Appreciate the welcome backs and it feels good to hit the bench again.

As for the pictures, it seems that my photo bucket premium account (with no limits) elapsed during my absence, as such the bandwidth limit is reached thus the images cannot be seen at the moment. Looks like I'll have to upgrade my account again. I'll see if that can be taken care of shortly.

Thanks again!

There, the pictures should work now! Had to upgrade my photobucket account again. Almost cost the same as a 54mmfigure to do but should be worth it!

Let me know if the images can be seen now.
