Hugo - the only weakness I see currently is the figure's hands. The shape and knuckles seem a bit odd looking to me. The hands might be too flat and narrow. I am sure that someone with better knowledge of anatomy than I can provide more useful comments.

Colin

Hugo,

This is looking great...especially the pose with the grenade.

Some really fine details on this .

if I may comment on the pouches they look too new , and should be a little miss shaped and knocked about ( I believe this sort of thing was commented on in a response to the Mad Jack review recently) .

The bergan looks fine apart from the end pieces of the straps below the buckle , they should be more away from the actual bergan .

Looking forward to seeing this close up

Like you say ..RP will welcome opinions and produce a even better model for the modeller listening as always to comments

Hi Hugo, thanks for sharing these early wip pictures. I would certainly agree with Colin regarding the hands, they just don't look right somehow, in particular the middle sections of the fingers, they look very 'flat'
Also agree with Kevin on the issue of the straps, they need more 'life' in them.

Martin.

Hi I hope you will not mind, I see a couple of mistakes, they are trivial but I just want to help.

the battledress blouse is either a 1937 pattern or a 1940 pattern, you have a bit of both. If the buttons are uncovered by the front fly then they should be no pleats on the pockets. here is both

1940 pattern note no pleats on pockets.

1937 pattern, note no buttons visible, all are covered.

also you 1937 pattern webbing belt is upside down, there is a male and a female fastening on the buckle. In the British army the ` Male is always right` so should go in from the right. otherwise the buckles on the back would be facing down.
here is a picture I hope it makes sense.
