After almost 6 months I am calling this fellow done.

Sculpted in sculpey firm and twine. Painted in oils, inks, acrylics.

Historical background and SBS's can be seen in my vbench.

I will likely stain the base darker. Thanks to John Ballard who awakened me to that fact that you can stain wood quite effectively wit artist's oils.

For me the sharpness of fine detail and clarity of face and hands that you have achieved out classes the portrait.
