Thanks Steve

Ok I am around 95% complete, just need the oils to settle and finish the figures with some touching up and matt varnish, the pics are a tad washed outand the pilots trousers are still very wet so they are not quite finished!

Its taken 5 months so another slog but pretty pleased with the outcome.

Thanks for your interest and I'll be back soon with another effort.
Dave

Steve I'm still deliberating either 1/16 DAK or 1/16 Leningrad...... I'll update soon!

Gordy, many thanks........I love this hobby!

Well I'm impressed by the whole dio, figures, bird and all. You captured the scene with great affect Dave. Man, what a beautiful build Bro, it's great to see it all come togehter.

I like your style Bro, well thought out scenerios with life and a story that speaks to the viewer, Bravo!

Cheers, Ski.

Hi Dave:
I really think this project will be very creative, and
adding a crashlanded Bf-109 is a great idea. Now in your
photos of the engine detail, you circled the engine exhausts
indicating, I think, that there is a seam that needs to be
removed along the center line of each exhaust "stack". I am
an aircraft modeler to the IPMS Basic Construction standards
that goes way back to 1965. However, I do know for certain,
that the exhaust stacks for the FW 190 D-9 Dora did have a
centerline seam on each exhaust stack, as those were cast
metal. My point is, you MAY want to check out a good ref.
on the 109 as those exhaust stacks on the real "12 inches
exquals a foot" scale aircraft "model" may also have the
seams on those exhaust stacks. Just a suggestion, Podna.
But I love the idea. And the sheep. Oh Shawn, . . . it's
time for you to star, matey. We all wish you were baaaaaaaaak,
Oh Groan, that was way too corny. . . . We will pretend
to "bleet" out those remarks, Hokay maing? Good luck and break
a leg, Dave. . . . The Miami Jayhawk

Nothing I can add to the praise you deserve mate. Big respect and congratulations on yet another masterclass in modelling.

Regards

Ron

Thank you all so much for your huge compliments it is all very inspiring to say the least.

The 109 was a challenge to take apart and fit back together, the figure sculpting was very enjoyable and I am pleased with my progress in this area. My favourite part is the groundwork, just love tinkering for hours getting stuff stuck on to make it look realistic.

So I am busy sketching and will be back soon with another ambitious project lol.................!!

Ps..the weld lines are on those pesky exhaust stacks!!

An amazing conclusion to a massive project.....well done Dave!

Can't wait to see the sketches.....

Cheers,
Jon.
