Greetings all,

Just wanted to sing the praises of M&B Miniatures a little bit. I recently purchased the new Wodland Indian that was just released by Marion & Alan and was a bit annoyed that the musket had been bent in the shape of a "U". Nothing that a bit of warming up a bit and bending couldn't fix. Really, no big deal. But I felt I should contact M&B to let them know that there might be some packing problems that should be addressed. Well, within 12 hours Alan contacted me wanting to know where I had bought the figure so he could have that lot checked. He was very concerned about how the musket could have been bent so severely and that he would follow up on the situation. I then received another e-mail from Alan asking for my address so that he could replace the defective piece! Alan has the kind of pride and integrity that I associate with Pat Bird of Series 77 a problem with any of Pat's products was instantly addressed and corrected. That is the type of company M&B Miniatures is proving to be.

Oh, yeah... the Indian is killer!

What can I say? Alan is, by far, one of the best individuals in this hobby - not just from sculpting & painting abilities (although he knows better than to claim his wife's painted work as his own :) ), but as a human being as well. The same can be said about Marion, his wife. Both are "delightful chaps" (I don't know the equivalent saying in Swiss) to talk with and true geniuses in our hobby. But best of all, They are very good person to count on as friends. I'm sure that these traits will carry them very far in this hobby. That's why I'm not surprised that Alan would bend over backwards - and then some - over a 54mm piece.

Remain a loyal customer of their products. You won't be disappointed ...

Hi Ric

Where did you get the figure?
I'm wondering about US sources, or whether to order direct (some day, when I can justify adding to the grey army)!

I can only agree fully with what you have said. I have met Marion in Glasgow in 2000 and she even came over to our show. I cannot recall an instant when I asked for her help and it was denied. She gives insatnt and honest advice. I still use some of the techniques she thaughtus when she was here. On the other hand I met Alan some time later , when I was a sleepy passenger in Marion's car from St.Vincent to Zurich. Again , I was never snobbed off when I asked Alan about some sculpting problem. I can only sum all up in saying that these two individuals are the best you can get all around. God bless them !!
