Carl, this is a fun piece and you've brought him to life. I see a couple things, hope you don't mind me mentioning. The red of the beret seems to lack shading a bit for me. Also, the highlights on the binoculars look like they need blending, they feel a bit harsh to my eye. The camo smock looks nice. I'm partial to the beret, but that's just my take. Well done.

Congrats, Carl! You beat us to it first!

I would just like to point out, if I may, that while your face painting here is rather satisfactory, it shows several marked differences from the way it's done in the box art, not least in the decisions on where highlight applies and ends.

As many would agree, this is a difficult face to paint. Maybe could have profited from following the way Lee did it?

Thanks for the kind words. Michael, I think that the way I've done the face, could be put down to personal style. That and not having the skill of Lee.
Thanks again,
Carl.

Carl, this looks great. Touch up the beret and the binocs and it will be perfect. I dont agree with Michael's comment, you do not need to copy the box art. Each of us has their own style and that is what makes this hobby fun. Seeing each person's interpretation of each piece.

Carl,

With enough prayers, we will all paint like Lee one day. Or as well as Lee does, but with our own styles

That was some fast finish to this one mate and your skills on the camo front are definetely getting there, real nice work on the deinison mate. I really like the skintones on this one and your blending looks great.

Have you changed the colour of the beret ? in your previous thread it looked a lot darker than this one which looks a bit too RED, maybe its just the lighting though ???

A real nice job mate and for me your best bust so far but im sure not your best of all time :)

All the best mate

Steve. It must be the light mate, as I haven't altered it.
Thanks a lot folks,
Carl.
