Flemish school..
No, i am sorry but Rembrandt was a "member" of wat they called the dutch school, along with Hals, Steen and Vermeer. They were all settled in Holland or the northern dutch provinces.
The flemish school or also called the Antwerp school were artists like Bruegel and Rubens. Back then Antwerp belonged to the southern dutch provinces. In 1830 the southern dutch provinces what is now Belgium declared themselves independent.
